Types of licorice

What is licorice?

Licorice is a white substance that comes out of a woman’s vagina. It is considered normal and healthy because it is a natural way to drain vaginal cells and fluids. In addition, it flushes out all germs and bacteria from the vagina and helps keep the vagina clean and free of infection.

What are the causes of licorice?

Here are some possible causes of licorice:

  1. If you start to notice white discharge (licorice) before your period starts which is thin, slippery, stretchy, and odorless then this is a normal part of your period. It does not indicate anything unusual, but it is just a way to drain your vaginal cells and fluids.
  2. Licorice or white matter is also considered an early sign of pregnancy. You may not be able to tell the difference between normal discharge and normal discharge because it is a little thicker than your normal discharge.
  3. If your hormone levels are not balanced, it can cause licorice.
  4. Excessive stress, mental illness, anxiety, and sexual tension can lead to vaginal discharge called licorice.
  5. An unhealthy diet is another factor that can cause licorice.
  6. Tuberculosis, anemia, diabetes, cervical cancer, and pelvic inflammatory disease can also cause vaginal discharge.
  7. What are the symptoms of licorice?

The following is a list of the most common symptoms of licorice:

Changes in the amount, color, and smell of your discharge.

Dryness and burning in the lining of the vagina.

Itching and discomfort in the vulva and vagina.

    Pain on a vulva.

    Swelling of the vagina.

Pain in the lower abdomen and lower back.

    Pain when urinating.

Bleeding and pain during and after intercourse.

Bleeding that is not related to your period.

Abnormal growth of skin around the vagina.

    Types of licorice:

There are three main types of licorice among women:

     1 Inflammatory licorice:

Usually, a sign of an organic bacterial infection, this type of licorice causes the vaginal mucus to become inflamed, resulting in a yellow color and odor in your vaginal discharge.

     2 Parasitic licorice:

This type of Leucorrhoea is caused by the presence of Trichomonas vaginalis – a protozoan parasite and the symptoms include severe vaginal itching and thick, yellow discharge from the vagina.

    3 Physical licorice:

There is no need to worry too much about this type of licorice. It usually occurs during pregnancy, due to an increase in estrogen levels in the body and an increase in blood flow to the vagina.
